Einstein

My poem is a eulogy to this great man who was a visionary and a genius. His prophetic vision of the multi-dimensional and relative universe in which we find oursleves, lighted a great candle of understanding for all of us. Our species have produced a great many scientific and visionary minds over the ages, but Darwin in the 19th Century and Einstein in the 20th were the two greatest doors that were ever opened to our understanding. Einstein may have initially misunderstood the non-static and expanding nature of the universe, and therefore he introduced a cosmological constant in his equations to get round the difficulty of explaining the ”non-changing” nature of it, but he saw his error later on and admitted that it was the greatest mistake of his life not to have forseen the predictions of an expanding and changing universe embedded within his own mathematical calculations. Despite this, his vision gave us a completely new understanding of the relationship between time, space, gravity and momentum.  He was a great ship that showed up on the shores of human understanding.

Click on the link below to read the poem, but before that I need to explain the meaning of two words in the poem with which readers may be unfamiar. One is tasvieh which means equations, and the other is sahib-e-ijmaal which means ‘summariser’  or one possessed of the art of summarising.
